UNIT 4: Drawings

Complete the following 3 Drawing Tutorials:   Suggested Time: 2 to 3 hours or 1 to 2 class periods.

  1. Detailing Drawings with Solid Edge Draft

  2. Creating 2D Drawings with Solid Edge

  3. Modeling Parts From Drawing Views

Learning Outcomes: Students should be able to use drafting software to create standard working drawings following drafting standards and increase understanding of the process of mechanical design.


     
  1. Open Solid Edge Program. Go to the Help on the top menu bar and open the Tutorials.
  2. Work through the 3 Drawing Tutorials listed. (Exclude Tutorials not listed)
  3. These are step by step tutorials that show you each step in order. It is important to follow the tutorial carefully and not skip steps.
  4. When you complete the tutorial save it as "Tutorial_12_yourlastname_initial"
  5. Save it and also have a back up.
  6. Turn it in when requested.
