Principal's Welcome

Welcome to W.J. Mouat!
I am proud to serve as the principal at one of Canada's finest schools (Ranked in the Top 10 by Maclean's Magazine)! In addition to our proven record of consistent academic excellence, we place a high value on the character development of our young men and women. By practicing and promoting respect, responsibility, integrity, caring, awareness, and teamwork, we are very successful at producing graduates who will contribute to their communities in a variety of ways, most notably through their good citizenship. CLICK HERE for more information on our Character Initiative.
At WJM, you will experience innovation at its best, a safe and caring environment, and a staff who are focussed on helping you learn. We are proud to have some of the best academic, arts, technology, and athletics programs in the country!
The 2012/2013 school year promises to be another outstanding year for our school. In November, 2012 WJ Mouat Secondary will be recognized internationally for its work on the School of Character initiative. The school will receive a 'Promising Practices' award at the Character Education Partnership Conference in Washington, DC, USA. We will also be sharing our relatively new character journey with some of the 1000 conference attendees from around the world!
Get ready for an exciting year!! Remember, our school will only get better with your involvement, so find something that interests you, get plugged in, and practice good character!
