Ever wonder what it is like to race a 1/4 mile dragster? Or make fine furniture out of exotic wood? How about designing a project on computer and watching it being carved and created by laser or computer controlled router? What about using a 3D printer to do scaled models?  These are just some of the incredible experiences available in the W. J. Mouat Technology Education Department. We offer classes in Mechanics, Metalwork, Woodwork, Design & Drafting, and Technology. We also offer innovative programs, not offered anywhere else, in Vinyl Graphics, Automated Design Technology, and High Performance Mechanics. Students that take classes in the Tech Ed department are given the opportunity to participate in The Canada Skills Competitions, High School Drag Racing Association, Work Experience and can obtain industry standard certification in Vinyl Graphics and Automated Design Technology. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests and are given a solid foundation of the skills needed. These programs appeal to everyone from the serious career minded student to the hobby enthusiast.
